I knew that Accountancy would be my career path as maths was my preferred subject at school. It has always fascinated me how maths transcends language barriers, and its understanding is vital internationally. The way I think of Accounting is that it is a fundamental part of our way of life. This is because I believe that every person in the world uses the principle of Accounting at least once in their lives.

I joined CBSL Accountants in May 2018, after working at another firm in Shropshire for 5 years and completing an AAT qualification. The importance that CBSL puts on family values led me to work for them as they stood out from other firms. Everyone in the office has been so welcoming and kind, and they are always open to any questions I have to broaden my knowledge. I feel like already being with CBSL I have gained a lot of experience in the different Accountancy software packages and had an insight into auditing and payroll. I look forward to continuing my studies towards qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.

Business and Accountancy are not my only interests, I also love to spend time with my friends and family. One of the many special things about growing up as a twin was getting to start and experience life at the same time as my sister.

Travelling is also one of my passions - Having grown up in an Indian family and integrated British culture, I enjoy exploring other parts of the world and pushing myself out of my comfort zone to expose myself to different perspectives, experiences, history and culture. Visiting captivating places like Bali, Dubai and Cuba has been eye opening and very educating!

In my spare time I do a lot of baking. I've been baking on a regular basis for at least 4 years. I first started with easy recipes, and as my experience grew I challenged myself with more complicated recipes.
