I have always had an interest in business; there is something about watching an idea grow to be a success that is exciting, which has formed the basis of my career. I moved to Leeds to study Business and Management at Leeds Trinity University, where it became clear my enthusiasm came from understanding a company’s financial position.
After gaining experience in a variety of financial positions I joined CBSL accountants in April 2016. During my time with CBSL Accountants I have gained experience in a number of diverse areas to do with accounting, dealing with statutory accounts, auditing, VAT returns and payroll, including pensions. I have since completed my certificate in Finance Accounting and Business, and continue to study towards qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.
I enjoy working with CBSL Accountants within a supportive environment especially whilst I am studying, building a successful career as a professional accountant and interacting with a range of clients with different needs, helping them where necessary.
Business and accounting are not my only interests, I also love to spend time with my friends and family, slowly exploring the world, we often take weekend trips away around Europe getting to experience their different cultures, whilst I have also recently been to America in a flying trip to New York City last December.
I enjoy walking; living in the countryside is perfect for long walks with some great views in the summer time. A big achievement of mine was successfully reaching the peak of Snowdonia in October with a group of friends.
Enjoying the outdoors, I like discovering new places in the UK, going camping and enjoy kayaking in the seas. I really love going to music festivals and have seen some fantastic artists in concert; including Adele, Arctic Monkeys, and Coldplay.
